Intel Technology India (Private) Limited
Intel, a US based multinational corporation, was established in 1968, as Integrated Electronics Corporation and based in Santa Clara, California, USA. Being a leading manufacturer of microprocessors and specialised integrated circuits, the company laid its strategy to build specialised products for emerging markets with different needs than the rest of the computing world. In view of this, Intel had set shop in Bangalore, which is the company's biggest non-manufacturing operation outside of the US. Intel’s platform definition centre in Bangalore was established with an aim to define locally relevant computing solutions based on Intel technology. Its mission states “Delight our customers, employees, and shareholders by relentlessly delivering the platform and technology advancements that become essential to the way we work and live”.

Intel is also associated to socially relevant causes like The Intel® Teach Program which is a worldwide initiative to help classroom teachers learn how best to use technology to improve teaching and learning. In India, the Program was launched in February 2000 and has spread to more than 35 cities nationwide. A total of 7, 26, 964 teachers have been trained under this program so far.
